[A memory starts to play out. It's from when Maul was a small child, maybe five or six years old, so the edges of it are worn and a little fuzzy. He wakes up as the sun starts to shine in through the windows. Next to him is his brother, Savage, a few years younger than him, and not having fully received all his tattoos yet.

He wakes Savage up. "How're you feeling today?"

Savage turns to look at his big brother, eyes full of adoration and love. "'m okay," he mumbles.

Maul smiles. Savage was born a weakling by the standards of Dathomir but Maul doesn't care. He loves his little brother dearly and protects him from anything that might harm him. Some days, he feels too sickly to leave the bed, but it looks like today is a good day. Maul smiles. "C'mon then, let's go play!"

They get out of bed, grab some meat from the kitchen to eat, and then head off into the Nightbrother village to play with some of the other boys. It's the usual things little boys will do, playing hide-and-seek, tag, wrestling around with each other, and other such games that only make sense to small children. They play for most of the day before they head back home, tired, sweaty, and full of happiness.

It's a simple memory but one Maul holds close to his heart. He doesn't have a lot of happy ones from his childhood after his master came for him. This one from before that time is kept cherished in his hearts.]

[ well thats -- cute as hell, though Chuck isn't sure why the fuck this is playing out on his Omni. He's too stunned to interrupt, but once it's finished, the recording cutting off, he clears his throat, and replies -- ]

Uh, Maul? Reckon that wasn't on purpose...?

What....? [Maul's unsure of why Chuck is contacting him until he realizes what has happened. Then he grumbles at Venge.] ....We need to find out what's causing this before any more get sent out.

[Then he turns his attention back to Chuck. As for Maul himself, the background of the video shows that he's in his ship, having made it a hideout since all these memories of a very personal nature have been going out.]

......No, I didn't. It seems to be something that's been happening for several days now.

[ Yeah, Chuck can understand the hiding out thing - if his past had been blasted like that? He'd be fuckin' pissed. It's already a worry, with everyone else's showing up on the network like some kind of family video night. ]

I've noticed. You alright?

[ Like, what Chuck saw this time wasn't bad. But there's been some stuff on the network that hasn't been so 'cute'. ]

That depends entirely on your definition of alright.

[He's not screaming and crying in someone's arms anymore so at least there's that. But Maul definitely doesn't feel very happy right now.]

Yeah, I hear ya. Nevermind, stupid question.

[ He tries another route. ]
